The Registered Nurse should have a passion for severe mental illness and will be a part of the multi-disciplinary team that provides care to patients experiencing their first episode of psychosis at the Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in outpatient settings
- Knowledge of computer programs for clinical data entry
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Required Education and/or Experience
- Registered nurse with current Louisiana licensure by date of hire
- Two (2) years nursing experience including one (1) year of experience in an outpatient clinical setting
- Phlebotomy certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with agencies where mental healthcare is delivered to adolescents and young adults
- Experience with care delivery to patients with psychotic disorders
Compensation Information
